Track & Field is one of the cornerstones in the history of Barents Sports and has a long tradition as part of the region’s sporting exchange. Track & Field has been an extremely active sport in Cap of the North sports for a long time.

Track & Field is also a Parasport in Barents Summer Games.

Team structure:

32 athletes in the age between 15 – 25 years compete in: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, javelin, discus throw, shot put, 4 x 100m relay, 4 x 400m relay.

Team structure Parasport:

4 athletes, 1 leader

Group: 2 boys and 2 girls – intellectual disability athletes (not under 15 years)

Events: 100 m, 800 m, long jump standing, high jump, throwing small ball
