Separate meetings for each sport should be arranged by the respective sports. If you need a meeting room for this, please contact the secretariat.
Meals
Breakfast: Breakfast is served at the hotel. Please follow the set breakfast schedule so that everyone has the opportunity to eat before the competitions.
Lunch: On Saturday, lunch will be served at the sports arenas, except for swimming, which will have lunch at Thon Hotel (next to Nordlysbadet). On Sunday, sports without competitions will have lunch at their hotels at 12:30. Sports with competitions on Sunday will have lunch served at their respective arenas.
Dinner: Dinners will be served at the hotel you are staying at. The dinner times are 16:00–19:00 on Friday and 17:00–19:30 on Saturday.
We have received allergy lists in registration forms. We only order special food for those we have been notified about, and we ask the rest of you not to take special food if it has not been ordered for you.
Hotels
We are using three hotels for the event: Scandic Alta, Thon Hotel, and Canyon Hotel.
Please remember that check-out time on Sunday is 12:00 unless otherwise agreed with the hotel. See more on our Alta-page.
Transport
For travel to and from Alta, please check the information provided by each country:
Internal transport
Transport coordinator: Henriette Bismo Email: Henriette.Bismo.Eilertsen@boreal.no
Buses will depart from the parking area in front of Scandic Alta (this applies to all participants). Due to the short distances between several arenas, transportation will only be provided before the start and after the end of competitions. If you wish to travel to and from the hotel between competitions, we encourage you to walk.
Swimming competitions will take place at Nordlysbadet, which is within walking distance from the hotels, as are badminton and carpet curling at UiT campus. If transport is needed for badminton or carpet curling, please notify Henriette Bismo by email.
The ski sports—cross-country skiing, biathlon, and ski orienteering—are located about 15 minutes by buss from the hotels. Transportation will be provided for these sports before and after competitions. If teams wish to travel earlier or later to watch other competitions, please inform the transport coordinator.
Each sport’s homepage will be updated with detailed transport schedules.
