They are ready

Next weekend they will help the Russian teams that participate in Barents Summer Games in Bodø.

To make it easier for the Russians when they come to Bodø 17 interpretert have said yes to be volunteers during Barents Summer Games 2017.

Most of them live in Bodø but know the Russian language very well and are happy to contribute for the Russian teams.

Russia will participate in this sports:

  • Boccia
  • Bowling – parasport
  • Cycling
  • Football, boys & girls
  • Golf
  • Judo
  • Orienteering
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis
  • Track&Field – parasport

The youngest interpreter is Nicole Natalie Furnes. She is  15 years old and she will together with Maja Cruickshank help the orienteering team. Nicole came from Murmansk to Bodø when she was 6 years old.

- This is very exciting and I am really happy to help out as a volunteer during Barents Summer Games, she says.

Together with the others she will follow her team when they are competing on their respective arenas.

We wish all participants and interpreters good luck in Barents Summer Games!
