Most of them live in Bodø but know the Russian language very well and are happy to contribute for the Russian teams.

Russia will participate in this sports:

The youngest interpreter is Nicole Natalie Furnes. She is  15 years old and she will together with Maja Cruickshank help the orienteering team. Nicole came from Murmansk to Bodø when she was 6 years old.

- This is very exciting and I am really happy to help out as a volunteer during Barents Summer Games, she says.

Together with the others she will follow her team when they are competing on their respective arenas.

We wish all participants and interpreters good luck in Barents Summer Games!

When Barents Winter Games takes place in Luleå 16-18 March 2018, more than 1000 young athletes from Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia will compete in 15 different sports, including three parasports.
